I love the word ‘cove‘! it is sounds full in the mouth and is a nestling, cosy, snug type of word. Add crystalline waters and the word aquamarine ….with a sloop at lazy anchor and you have the whole context of this happy- hour film…
Years ago I used to race up the stairs of Will Parker’s record shop in Ormskirk town and buy the very latest Abba as soon as it came in with my mother….can still rememeber the THRILL of ‘Arrival’ with its cynically accepting, ‘knowing me, knowing you’ AHA moments…all my friends adored the blonde Agnetha and humoured the existence of those talented but hirsute guys who seemed slightly extraneous to the whole Abba experience..
Now in a local cinema with both kids tuned into Julie Walters and her worldy side-kick…and Meryl Streep’s DIY with blonde streaks…we sang and foot danced to the infectious magic of ABBA – LAND!!!
‘Honey honey how you thrill me…..!!!’ and
‘If you change your mind, I’m the first in line…take a chance on me…’
BLISSFUL FUN!!! and Meryl is wonderful….and the colours melt away stress and summer is defintely here…
Repeat after me: turquoise, endless sand, lazy lapping waters….
