Words have the power to shape the smallest moment. Our lives are experienced from moment to moment, shaped around our words as particles of feeling. And sometimes, these feelings seem to sink us.
We may feel either anchor-less and therefore at sea and adrift. Lost for words to help us. Hindered by our pool of words that sink us as soon as we think them, let alone utter them.
Or we may feel only TOO anchored to a word-feeling that creates swirling experiences of negativity. Words that seem to be like submarines on a dive bombing mission without the relief of coming back to a sunny surface for breath. Neither states are great. They disempower us and undermine our potential for happiness.
But we do have choice.
We can change our anchors. That rusty anchor holding onto the dismal dank wreck at the bottom of your memory can be magicked away. Sent on a one way ticket and replaced by a new shiny, gleaming anchor bursting out with the resourceful feeling you want.
You can become indefatigable.
HMS Indefatigable.
A great state. A great word!
