English Tuition Bolton and Manchester: Reading Anchors-Erich Von Daniken’s Chariot of the Gods!

Mr Arkingstall was new. He had a prominent nose and a manner that I was precocious enough to report smug. Gone was the fascinating Mr Ottewell, back to Derbyshire  in his  white sports car,  to his small blonde girlfriend, to class -rooms of open planned activities and play cushions. Being ‘progressive’ meant you didn’t stay long at Rose Hill County Primary, and Mr Arkingstall, neither handsome, single, nor progressive, entered our school like a chill.

However he diplomatically endured my transient enthusiasms and I can still remember his stoicism  with my  50 page project on Erich  Von Daniken and  all those space ships landing somewhat problematically in Ancient  Peru.
