The little boy stood patiently in line beside his mother, two shiny silver coins warming his tiny palm.
“20 Bensons please Mr Walmesley, and some midget gems for Oscar.”
The old shopkeeper smiled warmly and winked at his smallest customer.
“You can have those sweeties for free!”
Oscar frowned down at his coins and said tearily,
“But I only got two!”
