A Faun Dream

I was walking in a wood somewhat delightfully finding that my hands were now  become paws and that my hair had overgrown my back and ears so that the word pelt seemed to fall warmly upon me, as I strolled deeper and deeper into this merry forest.

For so it now was.

And people tumbled about me,  carrying trays, platters of juicy brown chicken, scenting the air and following me,  taking this path and that, all merry and bright.

Then I looked behind me and scattered all over the forest  floor were tiny black pellets, and I knew they were mine. And I was surprised, yet as I watched, purple flowers started to grow from each pellet, smiling at their luck….
