Chapel-en-le-frith by Janet Lewison

Perhaps a beginning ‘space’ that was motherly and enduring, might be my first teacher with flaming red hair who had a son called Edward and a Land Rover that made sure they were never stranded during any Derbyshire Winter. Mrs Pearce used to pat me on the head and ruffle my hair as she went by chanting vowel sounds; she would  call me ‘Janny Sunny’ which left me with a permanent weakness for tousled hair and the letter u.

( And so my son is called Edward and  what does this show about time afterall?!)
