All this talk of wolves makes me remember one of most extraordinary books of the Twentieth Century and one which had a massive emotional impact on me when I read it for the First Time at Liverpool Uni years ago with Professor Arnold McMillin who was hugely positive to me as a very awkward undergraduate. Thanks always to the Russsian Dept( no longer there) who rescued me from underconfidence and anonymity. THANKYOU!
