Is Shyness a grim prison for you? Here’s ONE EASY way to break out!

In an earlier article I talked about the misery of NON-PARTICIPATION.

About how Shyness can seem a GRIM PRISON  from which you  may seem feel little chance of escape.

You keep seeing the same view day after day with sometimes just those tantalizing glimpses of the ‘bright blue sky of confidence’- but then you go back to pacing about your prison house once again.

You want to take a risk, you want to dare more, even to dare greatly, but you end up retreating back to your shy prison.

You stay safe with what you know.

So there you are , or maybe here you are, back in your shy prison with just the same view, the same way of behaving, the same retreating stories….

Remember this picture of a group of students all wanting to participate, all finding different obstacles to speaking out…

Remember we may all feel a little or a lot like these characters sometimes…wishing we were elsewhere!

Maybe we feel Invisible perhaps or all TOO visible!

SILENT  or even  TOO talkative!

Do you want to know ONE   BIG WAY to break out?

To become like these guys?

You can hear the  BIG WAY THREE TIMES!

SMILE

SMILE

SMILE

There you go.

YOU SMILE.

IT’S A MASSIVE ACTION!!

IT LIGHTS YOU UP INSIDE AND OUT

Imagine how easy it is to smile and to mean what your smile is saying, what your smile is radiating, giving out to the universe!

”Today, give a stranger one of your smiles.  It might be the only sunshine he sees all day. ”

  • Smiling lights up your face.
  • Smiling invites good feelings outside of yourself.
  • Smiling transforms your insides.
  • Try it-  smiling settles your insides!
  • Smiling shows you are happy to be here, you are happy to be with others and you like them.

”A smile is the light in the window of your face that tells people you’re at home.”

More about ‘being at home’ with yourself in an article coming soon on Tusitala.

In the meantime, here’s a favourite trick for you again…
