Mark’s Retraction!
( Mark says this is NOT a leopard, but then ……am sure JW likes cheetahs!)
I criticised The Passion without giving any examples of what I love about the book. This is my favourite part:
Refuse the passion as one might sensibly refuse a leopard in the house…And then you discover that your house is haunted by the ghost of a leopard. (pg 145-146)
I love the image of passion as wild, sinuous, sensuous beast!
